Oddly residents continued to report sightings of a monster even after Stevens ceased the charade. However it wasn’t until 23 years later in 1987 that Stevens revealed his hidden role and the secret he and Ralph Grapperhaus had kept for so many years. The prank continued for months until eventually Stevens feared for his own safety. Stevens, then 26, even went as far as participating in the hunt to locate the enigmatic creature of the “Great Cypress Swamp”. It wasn’t long before several other local news agencies got a hold of the story, fueling the monster frenzy. A photo of the “Selbyville Swamp monster” even made the front page of the Delmarva News on April 23, 1964. The two held on to the hoax for years and the news of the alleged beast sightings spread like wildfire around central Sussex County.
Stevens would hide in the shallows of the woods then jump out at passing cars on Route 54. The costume was made by the actor, Fred Stevens, using his Aunt Dorothy’s old raccoon hat, a scary mask, and club. He even went so far as to have a friend dress up and play the role of the yeti-like creature. Over 40 years ago Ralph Grapperhaus, the appreciated editor of the Delmarva News willingly admitted to creating the hoax, producing the story of a monster that inhabited the Great Cypress Swamp. Whether you believe in the legends or not, there may be a more obvious explanation to the fabled tale. Bluetooth is disabled when you fold the headset. They are a fantastic piece of technology. Monster( not a fan prior ) won a CES award for these. Bluetooth, NFC for tap to pair,and noise canceling are specs that can't be appreciated until hands on.

These Purity Pro headphones are phenomenal. I demoed these headphones at our booth for a few hours at the ATT Dev Summit in Vegas. I'm well versed in this area but it's all opinion in the end which is "the best" (personally, I preferred the sound of SDDS-less compression-over DTS and DD, but we see how that went). I was a cinema projectionist for 17 years, ran mono, stereo, optical, magnetic, DTS, Dolby Digital, SDDS and all their variants and improvements including the first EX system (for Phantom Menance). The original conceit of this is some prefer Doly PLII over THX's Game/Cinema/Music settings and vice versa and more specifically, what is "better" (which I argue is just user preference for what "sound" should be like). In fact the Onkyo picks whatever stream it senses, so it's not much of choice unless I choose to override. Obviously if I was doing something (game) mixed with Dolby Digital or higher, I'd use that. (I'm also not convinced THX ASA is an "extension" of Dolby). Xbox video, HuluPlus, Netflix Streaming and a rare straight up DVD. Right, but I don't do BluRay or any form of cable/satellite.
